Australian Embassy Direct Aid Program (DAP), June 2026
In Epe Community, Ondo State, students previously faced significant challenges in accessing quality education due to poor classroom infrastructure and limited learning resources. Many classrooms were in a deteriorated state, making it difficult for effective teaching and learning to take place, while the absence of digital tools further widened the gap between rural and urban education.

To address these challenges, the Australian Embassy Direct Aid Program (DAP), in partnership with Rolan Foundation, successfully implemented an education support project at Bishop Vining Anglican Memorial Primary School, Epe.
The project delivered the renovation of classroom facilities, transforming the learning environment into safer, more comfortable, and more conducive spaces for both students and teachers. This improvement has significantly enhanced classroom engagement and the overall learning experience.
In addition, a dedicated ICT learning space was established and equipped with computers to introduce pupils to basic digital skills and expand their exposure to modern learning tools. To support uninterrupted learning, a solar power system was installed to ensure reliable electricity for the ICT facility and other school activities.
This completed intervention reflects a shared commitment by the Australian Embassy DAP and the Rolan Foundation to strengthen foundational education, bridge the digital divide, and create equal opportunities for children in underserved communities.
