ABOUT RASF

Rolan African Support Foundation is a community-focused non-profit organization dedicated to supporting immigrants and underserved populations through a comprehensive approach that includes emergency relief, educational support, and entrepreneurship development.

Incorporated in Alberta on June 7, 2024, our mission is to alleviate poverty, promote social inclusion, and create opportunities for economic empowerment. Through targeted programs such as cash assistance, food distribution, back-to-school initiatives, and business training, we aim to build resilient communities both within Canada and across African regions. We are committed to ensuring that no one is left behind by providing access to essential services, quality education, and the tools needed for individuals and families to thrive long-term.

Our Goals

  • To alleviate poverty and reduce social exclusion by delivering targeted humanitarian aid, including cash assistance, food programs, and access to low-cost housing.
  • To promote public health and environmental sustainability through community-based clean-up campaigns.
  • To empower immigrants with practical skills, business training, and startup resources, enabling their participation in local and international economies.
  • To expand educational access for low-income and migrant children through back-to-school initiatives that provide learning materials, uniforms, psychosocial support, and mentorship.
  • To implement sustainable, inclusive programs that address both immediate needs and long-term development goals of African immigrants in Alberta and vulnerable populations in African

Mission

Our mission is to empower immigrants and marginalized populations through targeted programs in emergency relief, education, and entrepreneurship. We provide cash assistance, food security support, affordable housing access, and community clean-up initiatives to address immediate humanitarian needs. Through educational support, including school supplies, tuition aid, mentorship—and comprehensive entrepreneurship training, we foster long-term self-reliance and inclusion. We also extend our impact to African communities outside Canada through development-driven outreach projects that promote dignity, resilience, and sustainable growth.

Vision

We envision a world where immigrants (minority group) in Alberta and underserved communities across Africa—have equal access to basic needs, quality education, and sustainable economic opportunities. We aspire to create inclusive societies where individuals can thrive with dignity, equity, and independence, supported by responsive humanitarian assistance, educational access, and economic empowerment initiatives that extend beyond borders.

Our Thematic Areas

Cash Assistance Program: Delivers targeted financial support to immigrants experiencing economic hardship, helping to mitigate the impact of inflation and multidimensional poverty.

Poverty Alleviation Initiatives: Supports vulnerable populations through the provision of food banks, soup kitchens, and access to affordable housing.

Community Clean-Up Campaigns: Mobilizes volunteers and local communities to improve environmental sanitation and public health.

International Outreach Projects: Engages African communities beyond Canada’s borders through tailored development initiatives, activated as opportunities arise.

This program equips immigrants with practical entrepreneurial skills, business development training, and access to startup resources. It fosters economic self-reliance and promotes participation in both local and international business ventures, contributing to economic growth within and beyond Canada.

Our flagship educational support program is an educational relief initiative designed to ease the financial burden of school resumption for low-income and migrant families by providing free essential school supplies. The program offers school uniforms, tuition assistance, learning materials, mentorship, and psychosocial support. It is specifically tailored to serve immigrants and individuals from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, with the goal of promoting inclusive and equitable access to quality education for all.
