In line with SDG 6 and 11, our community cleaning is meant to improve public spaces by removing litter and unsightly objects on the streets and in drainages. This will limit the occurrence of floods and illness due to contaminated surroundings. In addition, it also serves as a medium to create a sense of responsibility for the environment through the mobilization of persons from diverse backgrounds to engage in the exercise. This is done by:
- Engaging environmental sanitation and health agencies
- Mobilizing youth volunteers in the community
- Community sensitization on cleanliness.
The exercise was held on the 15th of May, 2023. The locations for the cleaning exercise are Oke-Ayadi, Yaba, and Oke-Aluko.
