Empowering Mothers, Nurturing Futures
At Rolan Foundation, we are committed to ensuring that every expectant mother has access to the essential nutrients needed for a healthy pregnancy. Through our Maternal Health Initiative (MHI), we provide health education sessions and distribute UNIMMAP micronutrient supplements—a WHO/UNICEF-approved formula to promote maternal and child well-being. By collaborating with healthcare professionals, we equip pregnant women with the knowledge and resources for a safer, healthier journey to motherhood.
Our team visited Alakia-Olode Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Ibadan, engaging expectant mothers in health talks on maternal nutrition and distributing essential micronutrient supplements to support their well-being. Their enthusiasm and appreciation reaffirmed our mission—to create a healthier future, one mother at a time.
While this intervention had a significant impact, the demand exceeded supply, highlighting the urgent need for more resources in high-population PHCs. Moving forward, we aim to expand this initiative to reach more needy mothers.
